The SCX Lancia Delta

We’ve recently been checking out some slot car options for the magnificent Lancia Delta HF Integrale, here at The Scalextric Slot.

SCX currently offer a reasonably impressive car, with Fina livery, which is up to the good standards we’ve come to expect from this Spanish manufacturer. However, there is another Lancia Delta car available from Team Slot, another Spanish company, which is far more desirable in our opinion.

The Team Slot Lancia Delta sports the classic Martini livery, which has become synonymous with legendary rally greats such as Juha Kankkunen during the late 80s/early 90s. In addition to this, it is a well built car with a great race feel and a little more weight than a standard Scalextric car, as well as being highly tunable for people like us!

The down side of this is that the car is something of a rarity when it comes to getting hold of one. They are out there though, and a good example of one sold on ebay last month for around £40, which is well worth the money, so keep your eyes peeled if you want to add the ultimate Lancia Delta to your slot car collection.

Wow, I love the old Lancia’s, The Team Slot Livery looks great, one of the best Rally cars of all time. It’s nice too see a blog catering to the older classic rally car fan. It gives the kids a chance to discover what was around before the bland eurobox’s appeared that are all based on the same platform, same engines etc etc, it’s interesting to see how much variation there was on the circuit back then. Keep up the good work guys – this is shaping up to be one of the best Scalectric / Slotcar blogs around!

All these great blasts from the past have got me thinking now. I met a bloke with a wonderful origional A reg Golf GTI from 1983 on Saturday, hmmm I wonder if anyone makes them?
